The late and much beloved Tom Mueck was an Austrian national, and citizen of the world. He lived, studied and worked in Japan, USA, and Europe.
Tom grew up in Döbling, the historic 19th district of Vienna.
Döbling has a rich heritage in music, philosophy, architecture, psychology, and economic and business management theory.
Tom died on 19 July 2017 at the age of 50, survived by his parents. As a tribute to Tom’s life and achievements, and as a lasting memory to his humorous, sensitive, and intellectually curious personality a group of Tom’s closest friends and his parents created a foundation in his name.
The vision for the Tom Mueck Foundation is to share ideas about how to make the world a better place using the power of imagination and practical means.
